We took the boys to Great Wolf Lodge for the first time, and now I understand why everyone loves this place so much! We stayed for one night, which gave us access to the facility for two jam packed fun days. Our room fit six people and came with six water park passes, so we got to invite oma and opa Berg to join us!
This is the view of the amazing indoor water park from the hotel lobby! The boys were beyond excited!
We got a "Kid Kamp" themed suite that included an area with a bunk bed in a "tent." The boys went straight to the top bunk!
Luckily, there was no fight over who got the top bunk because Ben decided he wanted the bottom after discovering he didn't like coming down the stairs.
After putting on their bathing suits, they planned out their day on the water park map...
We stopped for a quick picture in front of the black bear on the way to the water park...
A couple more before putting away our phones and getting drenched for the next few hours!
After the boys finally had enough of the water park, we went back to our room to clean up. While they waited for everyone to finish getting dressed, the boys decided to decorate their sleeping quarters with all the toys they brought from home. Here is Bryce's bunk all neat and decorated...
His bear and monster truck got their own special corners at the head of the bed...
Ben did the same with his area. They're so funny!
Next stop is the arcade...
They live for these tickets!
Then it was time to eat!
We finished dinner just in time for story time!
The boys were very content and comfy sucking on ring pops and leaning back on dad...
After story time, everyone got to take a picture with this character... I think he's a bear. The boys' mouths were all blue from their ring pops!
Dad surprised the boys with light up mohawks that he brought from work...
And light up sticks...
The next day, we had a nice breakfast, and the boys did some coloring in the lobby...
The hotel was decorated for Halloween...
It was time to start our MagiQuest!
Our first quest was to find the different colored crystals... we found the red one!
The game definitely gave us a good workout!
They loved the treasure chests...
We took a break from the game and went back to the water park...
Oma and opa got a good workout in the lazy river while trying to keep up with our floating boys...
They became big fans of Dipping Dots!
After the water park, we finished a few more quests, ate dinner, took a couple more pictures, then headed home! We were all exhausted!
We all had so much fun, and we will definitely be back! Ben was just half an inch and Bryce 1 1/2 inches away from the minimum height requirement for some of the "big" water slides, so when we go back (hopefully next year), they should both be tall enough!
