This year, we spent Thanksgiving with Oma and Opa Berg at Holly Lake. We had a relaxing couple of days just hiking, eating, hanging out, and playing by the water. The weather was nice, and the trees looked beautiful with their leaves turning all different shades of fall!
Here was our view from oma and opa's balcony...
The boys made themselves right at home!
We promised the boys that we'd take them fishing at the lake, so here they were getting their first lesson on the balcony...
They eagerly followed oma to the lake!
While we waited for daddy and opa to come down with the fishing poles, the boys practiced fishing with tree branches...
I was so afraid they would fall into the water!
Ben was happy to catch seaweed!
Beautiful trees!
The real fishing poles arrived...
I think daddy was very happy to be enjoying one of his favorite hobbies with his two boys...
Needless to say, our two chatty and active boys got bored of fishing pretty quickly, so dad took us on a boat ride...
They had enough of sitting still in the boat, so we rolled up their pants and let them play by the water...
Of course, their clothes didn't stay dry for long...
Playing in the leaves with Oma...
The next morning, we put on our jackets and went on a fun hike...
The boys found berries to pick...
Ringing the bell at the end of our hike...
The next morning, the boys went out to find some ducks to feed...
