Our First Preschool Open House

Last Thursday, Evan and I attended the boys' first preschool open house. I think the boys were confused to why mom and dad were going to school with them since I've been telling them that mommy and daddy are "too big" to go to school. When we first pulled up into the parking lot, they immediately starting saying, "No school, no school!" and they even started to cry as we were about to enter their classroom. I think they thought we were about to drop them off and leave. But, once we entered the classroom, the boys started to enjoy themselves as they walked around the room and proudly pointed out their artwork on the walls and tables to us. :)

Here they are showing off their adorable caterpillars... these are definitely keepers!

Their dinosaurs...

And, their scarecrows...

This is what we got when we asked Bryce to pose next to his scarecrow... he's so goofy! :)

It was fun talking to Mrs. Kenton and Mrs. Davis and meeting some of the boys' classmates and their parents. And, of course, being that B & B's mom is very chatty, we ended up being one of the last ones to leave. Poor Evan. :)

Owens Big Orange Pumpkin Farm

About a week before Halloween, we took the boys to a nearby pumpkin farm. Oma, opa and Gabrielle joined us and we all had a great time. Of course, mommy took a bunch of pictures!

We started off by feeding the goats...

Both of these pictures are of Ben because Bryce did not want to get near the hungry animals!

There was a field covered with baby pumpkins... the perfect size for the boys to pick up and throw!

So many to play with!

Bryce found his favorite...

He took it with him through the maze...

Gabrielle found her perfect pumpkin...

Then Ben too...

Ben posed proudly with his pumpkin...

Off we go to check out the rest of the farm...

Ben managed to find a hidden treasure in the hay... a bag full of candy, Cars stickers and little toys that a little boy must've accidentally left behind.

Bryce quickly ran over to check out the goodies...

Family picture!

Ben showing daddy the Cars stickers covering his arm...

Next stop was the hay ride...

The boys loved it...

Sweet picture of Gabrielle and Bryce...

After the hay ride, the boys enjoyed a train ride! They surprisingly posed infront of the train for me after the ride...

Then they tried to push the train...

Silly oma and opa...

Silly boys...

My little flower...

My goofy pumpkin...

We went back to feed the goats again... they all looked hungry!

After feeding the goats, we discovered a big pit of pumpkins, and Bryce dove right in!

This must be like rock climbing to a little 2-year old...

He had so much fun!

Meanwhile, Benjamin chose to hang out on the side with daddy and just watch... and smile for the camera. :)

Is the boy or the pumpkins for sale?

Not sure what's going on here...

You would think by looking at this picture that Bryce was crawling into the pit of pumpkins, but he was actually climbing out of the pit backwards, feet first...

He was happy to find a baby pumpkin among all the big ones...

Can you tell he really loved the baby pumpkin?

I think he finally wore himself out! Time to go home...

Pee Pee In Potty, Part 2 - Brother's Turn!

Well, it looks like the boys' competitiveness worked to our advantage once again! Bryce decided he wasn't going to let his brother have the spotlight by himself for more than a day. So, tonight, Bryce decided it was his turn to pee pee in his potty for the first time! We are so proud of our big boys!

Looks like a special relationship is forming between the boys and their frog potty. :)

Bryce decided he had enough of momma's camera and ran out of the bathroom. But, sweet Benjamin gave me a few more photo ops with his adorable silly faces...

Once again, Bryce wasn't about to let his brother have the spotlight for very long! He swooped in and gave me his version of the silly face...

Oh, these boys never fail to entertain me. :)

Pee Pee In Potty!

BIG milestone today! Guess who pee peed in his potty for the first time?

Benjamin!!

Fun Day at the Jones' Farm

Two weekends ago, Evan and I took the boys on a one-night roadtrip to a town near Austin for baby Stella's Baptism. While we were there, we got an opportunity to visit Stella and Sam's grandparents' farm. We had such a good time!

Here are the three lovable musketeers running around at the farm...

When we first arrived, baby Stella was sound asleep on her Aunt April's lap. :)

We got a fun tour of the farm from the back of Papaw's pickup truck...

Bryce and daddy...

Sam and his daddy...

The cows following the truck...

Bryce rarely goes anywhere empty handed... here he is with a stick in one hand and a cracker in the other!

Same goes with his brother...

Here's Evan trying to keep two little monkeys from falling out of the truck...

After the tour, all the big boys went skeet shooting, while the girls and little boys played by the barn and got ready for dinner... (yes, it is definitely time for my boys to get another haircut.)

Bryce was fascinated by this kitty...

I think this was their first time playing with a cat...

They were trying to feed the kitty a stick and couldn't understand why he wouldn't eat it...

Finally, a picture of the three boys sitting together! There was no way I could get them to look at the camera though. Don't think I didn't try!

Poor cat...

Dinner time!

The three musketeers stayed up way too late that night, but they sure had fun! The next day, we went to baby Stella's Baptism. It was a sweet service, and we're so happy to have been a part of it. After the service, the boys' fell asleep on the way to lunch at the Jones' farm. So, we decided it'd be best not to wake them up and just start our drive back to Dallas. Thank you to the Jones and DePinto family for a great weekend and making the Bergs feel like we're a part of your beautiful family!
