First Haircut

Earlier this evening, the boys got their first haircut! Since they still have stranger anxiety, I decided to do it myself.  The thought of going to a barber shop and having a stranger hovering over them with scissors was just too scary!  Luckily, I didn't have to cut much since Evan and I both like the boys' hair a little long...I just had to cut enough in the front to keep their hair from covering their eyes.

Here is what we ended up with...Benjamin's is the one on the left, and as you can see, he had quite a bit more hair to cut than Bryce!  (And, notice the safety scissors that I had to use...that was the only way Evan would let me cut their hair!)

And, here is our handsome Bryce with his shorter bangs...

And, his equally handsome brother with no more hair covering his eyes :)

A couple of days after we cut the boys' hair, it finally hit me that we actually had little cases specifically made to store the boys' hair. They were gifts given to us by our wonderful aunts, Pat and Sue, and have been sitting in the boys' closet waiting for this special day!

They were actually part of a beautiful set that also came with a storage case for their first tooth and birth certificate...

And, each set was thoughtfully engraved with our boys' name and birth date...
