Here they are in the waiting room (with Oma in the background). By the look on their faces, it appears they already suspect something bad is about to happen!
To pass time, I wheeled them to the wall with the pretty fish tank...
They finally took us into an office where the examination was going to take place. The boys became restless pretty quickly, so the sweet hygienist gave each of them a new toothbrush to play with. Here they are playing with their new toothbrushes while sitting on mommy's lap...
Dr. Tak arrived and began the examination on Benjamin. Instead of having Ben lay on a typical patient chair, he had him sit facing me on my lap then layed Ben's head back onto his lap. The screaming, kicking, and crying started immediately...
Then, it was Bryce's turn. He wriggled and cried, but not nearly as hard or loud as his brother. Dr. Tak told us that the boys' back teeth should start coming in any day now. And, coincidentally, this morning during breakfast, I saw one of Benjamin's had broken through the gums!
After the exams, the hygienist gave each of them a big colorful rubber ball. Here they are in the car holding their new toy... Benjamin (on the right) still looking mad, while Bryce was perfectly content with his toy and giving his brother a "what's wrong with you?" look...

I almost forgot... on the way to the car, I had no idea that Benjamin had dropped his ball and it had rolled down the parking lot. By the time I realized he had dropped it, the ball was nowhere to be found. As always, it took a while to strap the boys into their carseats and pack up the stroller... and while doing all that, I found out that a sweet old man, who was about to get into his car, had seen Benjamin drop his ball. So he went searching for it! Can you believe it? Unfortunately, by the time I finished putting the boys and the stroller in the car, he still had not found it. So, I profusely thanked him for trying. But, then right as I was getting into the driver's seat, he miraculously found it and came running over to give it to us. Wow! Meeting nice people like that always makes me so happy. I had to include this story in this blog post because I want the boys to read it one day and know about the this sweet man who rescued their toy. :)
