We're 7 Months Old!

This past month has definitely flown by!  I've been telling everyone that the first 6 months has felt more like 6 years, but now that the boys are so much easier to handle, the days are really flying by.  I'm happy and excited... but a little sad too.  Everyone keeps telling me to enjoy every second with these boys because they'll grow up so fast, but I didn't believe them until now!

Here are a few milestones we celebrated this past month...

-We've added meat to the boys' diet... chicken, turkey and beef, along with dozens of different fruits and veggies.  We haven't found anything the boys won't eat, but they definitely have their favorites.  Bryce definitely loves fruit more than anything else.

-They can pretty much sit up without our support now, which makes playing a lot easier and more fun.  Every now and then, they might get wobbly and fall over.

-They can now wear size 3 diapers.

-They smile when they see each other for the first time every morning. :)

-They're starting to sleep in a little later.  They used to wake up around 6am, but lately, they've been waking up around 7 or 7:30.  Hopefully this will continue!

- Just this morning, I noticed Ben has a tooth coming in!  I think Bryce is pretty close behind because there's a little bulge on his gums in the same location.

- Ben can now put a fallen pacifier back in his mouth on his own (most of the time)!

Here are 7-month pics of the boys with their 7 monkeys...

A sign they've had enough...

Snow Day!

Four days ago we had record breaking snowfall in the DFW area... 12.5 inches of snow fell within 24 hours!  This is what we woke up to Friday morning...

The night before, after the boys went to bed, Evan built the boys a snowman in our backyard.

He even added a mohawk to match the boys'.

Since it snowed all through the night, poor Mr. Snowman looked a little different in the morning.

When the boys woke up, they got bundled in their snuggly reindeer outfits before going outside to see their first snowman.

I guess Ben thinks his brother is weird...

While waiting for their oma, opa, and their cousins to arrive, mean mommy decided to make the boys do some tummy time.  As you can see, Ben was not very happy.

A mad and tearful Ben...

Still mad...

I think they're ready for some fun in the snow!

Not sure what they thought of Mr. Snowman.

I guess Ben liked him...

Bryce was too busy trying to figure out what all that white thing was...

Best buds chillin' in the snow...

The boys with oma, opa, Grant and Gabrielle... I think Bryce had had enough of the Bumbo.

First sledding experience... Ben didn't look too enthused, while Bryce looked like he was holding on for dear life!

Valentine's Day

I guess it's not so bad being the only girl in the house...

Yummy Feet

I'm really behind on all the things I want to blog about.  Especially now since the boys are becoming so active and seem to be doing something new or funny everyday!  Here's one of Benjamin from New Years Day when he discovered something new to put in his mouth--his feet!

Notice the drool sliding out of the corner of his mouth... his feet must be looking very yummy.

Getting closer...

Missed!

Let's try this again...

Almost there...

Woohoo!
