Daddy's 40th Birthday

Daddy turned 40 on March 3, and we had a weekend full of fun, family, and surprises for him! We started his birthday with a visit to the park...

The day before his birthday, daddy received his first surprise... his cousin Rich and wife Nadia flew in from New York to help celebrate!

Later that afternoon, we surprised daddy with a party at Top Golf! Since daddy had no idea a surprise party was waiting for him, we arrived a little late because he decided on the way there to give Uncle Rich and Aunt Nadia a tour of the neighborhood!

Everyone, including the little people, had a great time! Here is Bryce on the left and Ben on the right getting a turn...

Then, they wanted to do it together...

Check out oma in action!

Remember the movie, "Three Men and a Baby?" LOL!

Claire getting a lesson from her Uncle Evan...

Everyone was sporting the blue because UNC was playing during the party... and they won!

While the big people continued to golf, the little ones played with play dough...

The last time Uncle Rich came for a visit was for daddy's bachelor party! Now daddy has two kids and Uncle Rich is married and is expecting his first child in June!

The two youngest guests looking so adorable...

A picture of Aunt Nadia and Uncle Rich with a few Bergs...

Best buds enjoying a snack while Aunt Lizzy tries to bribe a few fruit snacks away from them...

Will had so much fun and already told his parents that he wants his next birthday party at Top Golf!

Bryce got a lesson from Justin...

Ben's turn...

And, of course, Sam too!

While everyone was drinking water or ice tea, it looks like Uncle Rich was enjoying something a little stronger...

Our little hoarder, Bryce, went around collecting golf balls...

I couldn't get them to stay still for a picture, so I settled for a front and back view...

The Three Musketeers jumping around...

Aunt Beth and Audrey...

Time to open presents...

Daddy and the little helpers...

A silly family picture...

Yummy birthday cupcakes...

The boys giving daddy hugs at the end of the night...

One last picture with Grant before heading out to Uncle Eric's house to finish watching the Carolina game...

The celebrations continued the next day with dinner at Gloria's, and afterwards, the boys got to enjoy playing at the "fake beach" at night!

As Uncle Rich would say... it was a TREMENDOUS weekend!

Fun Morning at the Dallas Zoo

We had a great morning at the Dallas Zoo with the Jones family. Bryce got to ride his first pony(although this pony looked more like a horse!) that day! I asked the boys if they wanted to ride the pony and was actually surprised when Bryce said yes. Here he is accompanied by Justin's dad...

He had this unsure expression on his face during the whole ride, but I was happy that he didn't cry or asked to get off. Afterwards, he told me he didn't want to do it again. :)

Sam, however, loved every minute of it! Justin had bought 3 tickets, but Ben didn't want to go. So, Sam happily rode the pony two times! :)

I was so happy that Penelope joined us at the zoo. Here she is with Bryce (I think) checking out the huge kois...

Sam loved the petting zoo... but B & B didn't want anything to do with the cute goats. :(

Look at that cute face!

I love watching these three amigos together!

The boys enjoyed looking at the turtles...

Justin got Melissa to entertain us by going inside the hurricane simulator...

The boys did so well at the zoo! Typically, when we're out with a group of people, the boys are glued to my side and won't let anyone else hold their hands. But, surprisingly, they took turns walking with everyone that morning. I was so happy!! Look how carefree momma looked in this picture! :)

I love this picture of the boys walking with their aunt Melissa...

Sam adores his papaw! So, I felt honored when he briefly held my hand... but, of course, papaw had to be on his other side!  :)

The boys had Aunt Melissa working out her muscles!

Such a typical picture of the boys looking everywhere but at the camera!

Everytime I see these birds, I think of the movie Rio!

The clan...

Sam loved feeding the giraffes!

This was definitely my favorite part of the zoo!

Such amazing creatures...

Poor Stella became terrified when this giraffe got too close to her face!

But, mommy made everything better...

The boys said they didn't want to see the tigers and lions because they're scary, but they were okay looking at them through the glass...

Soon after we saw the lions, we headed home with some very sleepy little kids!
